The University of Windsor will be holding an evening session called Financing Your University Educationon Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 7:00 - 8:30pm.
Students and their parents will be able to learn about the financial aid options that are available.
That is Wednesday, February 18th after school from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the University of Windsor.

Grade 10 Enrichment Experience

The University of Waterloo offers a high school enrichment opportunity for students of exceptional potential. Students will experience lectures, seminars, workshops, labs, and social time with the faculty and students of the University of Waterloo.

The Waterloo Unlimited Grade 10 Program of 2015 is the theme of "change" considering the perspectives od scientists, engineers, writers, and philosophers. It will run Sunday, May 10th - Thursday, May 14th, 2015. The application deadline is March 10th, 2014.

Program fee: $450
Supervised overnight shared residence accommodation: $160
All supervision provided by the University of Waterloo.

The Downtown Music Initiative: Call for Volunteers

The Downtown Music Initiative is a free music program that offers lessons to youth ages 4-17 from low income families. The DMI is seeking volunteer-musicians to give lessons. They will any instrumentalist over the age of 16, no teaching experience required.

Volunteers will need to make the commitment to weekly lessons on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday for a maximum of 2 hours (between the hours of 4-8pm.)

YES! - Youth Empowerment and Safety Initiative

When: Thursday, January 29th, 2015. Doors open at 6pm, program begins at 6:30pm.

Where: Major FA Tilston Armoury and Police Training Centre 4007 Sandwich St., N9C-1C3

What: The Windsor police service and the Safety Village are inviting high school students in Windsor to showcase their talents in any artistic medium illustrating the challenges youth face.

An overview of submissions will be required prior to the event, and will be accepted until Jan. 21st, 2015. Selected presenters will be notified on Jan. 26th, 2015. Students may submit their entries to The Safety Village or to a designates staff member at their school.

There will be prizes for the top three presenters, first prize being an iPad.
