A City Wide Student Exchange meeting will be taking place on
December 8, 2016 between 6:00PM-7:00PM at Tecumseh Vista Academy.
This
will be an information session for eligible students in Grade 7 to 10 who wish
to apply for an exchange. Students must provide recommendations from staff,
interested in experiencing a new culture and who are responsible
students. It is reciprical exchange so students will host their partners
this August for 2 months for those in grade 7 (Grade 8 next fall) and for those
in grades 9 and 10 (grades 10 and 11 next fall) for 3 months. Our students will
then go to their partners homes and attend their schools starting in the middle
of February for the 2 or 3 months. The meeting will outline the application
process and the timelines for the whole year of the exchange for the students
and parents. There will be time for questions as well.
If
you currently have exchange students, please inform them of this meeting.
Also, please extend an invite to those students who may have expressed an
interest in becoming an exchange student.
